Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever really has reappeared globally as a major viral infection in which

it can be spread through the bite of the female Ades Aegypti mosquito. Every year it has 50

million reported cases that can really cause death of the victim. The economy can also be

greatly affected when the rainy season comes. Indonesia is also part of the countries that was

affected by the said infection due to the state of being it a tropical country in Asia. It also has

a record of the Case Fatality Rate in 2017 with 204,171 cases with 1,598 deaths. Few people

have efficient knowledge of what to do in order to prevent infection of DHF. DHF is a disease

brought on by both an unfavorable physical environment and a lack of knowledge and

awareness about how to avoid outbreaks. Among the people who are vulnerable to the

infection, the children are greatly affected by it, thus, making them susceptible to diseases.

The journal stated that schools have conducted health education as was successful at

changing attitudes and good lifestyle practices, especially those that are associated to DHF.

Schools are seen to be a wise location for promoting school health as well as a successful

setting for implementing health education, where children may be educated about the

purposes of healthy and unhealthy behaviors as well as their repercussions. The

management of DHF prevention, expanding awareness, and changing attitudes all depend

heavily on interventions carried out with children who are still in school. Students can actively

engage in dengue virus control efforts in their schools, at home, and in their individual

residential areas if they are aware of the virus' side effects and how to prevent getting them.
