Biodiversity is the collection of botanical and zoological life forms existing in a habitat in the orb.

Biodiversity is the elixir of planet earth in which we live in. It's classified into three major subcategories
which are biodiversity within species, between species, and between ecosystems.

Within species, diversification is the genetic variation in organisms. It explains how organisms inherit
features from their parents. Between species is the variety of individuals with capabilities of exchanging
genes and are able to produce viable offsprings, and between ecosystems is the diverse interaction
between different biological communities.

Prevention of biodiversity loss can be better addressed by understanding the major causes. They include
the following: Climatic changes due to global warming, deforestation which has a major impact on the
ecosystem, pollution from industries due to improper disposal of toxic waste, overexploitation of natural
resources like overfishing, and invasive species that increase competition in an ecosystem creating
imbalance.

Recycling is one of the best ways to reduce pollution. In everyday livelihood, we consume products from
different suppliers most of which are packaged in none biodegradable materials. Proper disposal of
these products will help in the prevention of pollution but creating recycle points for these products will
help minimize production hence eco-sustainability.

Governments have a major role in creating laws that will govern the way its citizens interact with the
ecosystems. Legislative bodies should enact harsh penalties on any practice against the environmentally
acceptable practice. This will reduce exploitation and recklessness.

Educating people at all levels to understand the importance of conservation of biodiversity in schools
through media platforms and other avenues. By doing this the government will find it easy to administer
preventive measures.

Due to the rapid changes in the environment, research is key to better understanding of the ecosystem.
Research reveals more about species from the smallest in the environment and their significance. This
also aids in understanding and conserving the rare and extinct organisms to ensure their participation in
the ecosystem.

Nature reserves are set up by governments to conceal a region of organisms. They do this to showcase
biodiversity, preserve, and care for the organisms. This practice has saved the rare species in the
ecosystem. It is highly encouraged.
In conclusion, conserving biodiversity increases eco productivity whereby each species has an important
role to play.
