PROJEK PEMBINAAN BLOK BANGUNAN DAN KERJA-KERJA BERKAITAN DI

SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEBANGSAAN TUANKU ABDUL RAHMAN, GEMAS, NEGERI
SEMBILAN

1.0 INTRODUCTION
This report is to evaluate tenders submitted for the above project. Briefly, the works to be carried out
are as follows:-

a) Site Clearance

b) Earthwork

2.0 INVITATION TO TENDER

2.1 Three (3) short-listed contractors were invited to tender and the Tender Documents
were issued from the office of ABC Architects on April 2005, as follows :-
a) KRP SDN.BHD

b) MRX HOLDINGS SDN.BHD

c) STUNWELL SDN.BHD

d) ABS SDN.BHD

2.2 All tenderers collected the Tender Documents.

2.3 All tenders who collected the Tender Document submitted a non-refundable Tender
Documentation Fee of RM3,800.00 and refundable Tender Deposit of RM1,950.00
which will be refunded in full to all unsuccessful tenderers who submitted a bona fide
tender.
3.0 CLOSING AND OPENING OF TENDERS
3.1 Tenders were closed as scheduled at 12.00 noon on August 2021 at the ABC Architects.
All tenders who submitted the tenders on August 2021.
3.2 The Tender Documents are opened on August 2021 at 4.00p.m in the presence of the
Client’s representative and the consultants.

4.0 VALIDITY PERIOD

All tenders were to remain valid for period of one hundred and twenty (120) days from the
date of submissions of tenders. The expiry date is at November 2021.

5.0 EARNEST MONEY

All tenderers submitted together with their tenders, an Earnest Money for the sum of
RM23,000.00 in the form of company cheque in lieu of Bank Guarantee in favour of XYZ
Sdn. Bhd. As request.

The bank Guarantee will remain in force for a period of Ninety (90) days until October 2021.
This amount will be forfeited in the event that the contractor fails to stand by his tender before
the expiry of the validity period. The tenderer’s earnest money will be refunded to the tender
when the Contract has been awarded.

6.0 ARITHMETICAL CHECKS

6.1 Arithmetical checks were carried out on all tenders received. Our finding are as
follows :-

7.0 TENDER RESULTS WITHOUT CORRECTION
7.1 The tender results in ascending value order are tabulated below :-

7.2 The arithmetical error made by the above tenderer have not affected the tender
standing position of the tenders.
7.3 Should any of the tenders with arithmetical errors are being considered for award,
the tenderer should be informed of the arithmetical errors and the tenderer should be
asked to confirm in writing that they are addition/omission shall be calculated as a
percentage adjustment in the Final Summary provided that the P.C and Provisional
Sums shall not be subjected to such percentage adjustment and all units in the tender
documents shall be subjected to such percentage discount or premium as the case
may be.

8.0 GENERAL PRICING AND COMMENTS

8.1 KRP Sdn.Bhd.
KRP Sdn.Bhd submitted the lowest tender in the sum of RM1,100,000.00 with the
completion of 42 weeks.

No arithmetical error was found in the tender

Preliminaries priced at RM121,000.00 or equivalent to about 11% of tender sum and

is considered reasonable.

8.2 STUNWELL Sdn. Bhd.

Stunwell Sdn. Bhd.submitted the highest tender in the sum of RM1,300,000.00 with
the completion of 40 weeks.

Arithmetical errors were found in the tender amounting to a nett addition of

RM0.00. The corrected tender sum shall be RM0.00.
 Preliminaries priced at RM156,000.00 or equivalent to about 12% of tender sum and
is considered reasonable.

8.3 MRX Holding Sdn. Bhd.

MRX Holding Sdn. Bhd.submitted the second lowest tender in the sum of
RM1,190,940.00 with the completion of 0 weeks.

Arithmetical error were found in the tender amounting to a nett commission of

RM0.00.

The corrected tender sum shall be RM0.00. Preliminaries priced at RM115,000.00 or

equivalent to about 9.66% of tender sum and is considered reasonable.

8.4 ABX Sdn. Bhd.

ABS Sdn. Bhd. submitted the third lowest tender in the sum of RM1,255,000.00
with the completion of 50 weeks.

No arithmetical error was found in the tender

Preliminaries priced at RM120,000.00 or equivalent to about 9.56% of tender sum

and is considered reasonable.

9.0 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

9.1 We have only commented on the financial aspects of the tender submission but have
not commented on the technical and programming aspects of the tender.

9.2 KRP Sdn. Bhd. have submitted the lowest tender with a completion time of 42 week
RM1,100,00.00 without no arithmetical error found.

9.3 Based on the foregoing evaluation, we are of the opinion that the lowest tender
submitted by KRP Sdn. Bhd. in the amount of RM1,100,00.00 can be considered for
award of the contract.
