PILOT TESTING OF DATA DISABILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF THE PDAO

The Persons With Disabilities Affairs Office’s (PDAO) primary role is to ensure the
delivery of appropriate programs and services for persons with disabilities within their
jurisdiction . However, there is currently no reliable and systematic information
regarding the needs of persons with disabilities and the barriers that they face to
participate in community life or to be economically active. Aware of this predicament,
the office started to develop a DISABILITY ASSESSMENT AND DATA MANAGEMENT
SYSTEM that will also facilitate the delivery services of the office.
Furthermore, the system will also collect informations on the support requirements
of PWDs. This will greatly reduce errors and cost of collecting informations as well as
speeding up the process.
Pilot Testing was headed by Mr. Abner Manlapas (representative from PDAO
Batangas) together with Mrs. Mylene Santos and Mrs. Nemia L. Perez to Fifteen (15)
Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in our municipality last December 16, 2022 at OB
Montessori, Poblacion, San Juan, Batangas.
The Pilot Testing of the Data Disability Management System was successfully
done.It was found out that our PWDs need ASSISTIVE DEVICES and LIVELIHOOD
ASSISTANCE. Informations gained from this Pilot Testing will be the basis of the
interventions to be given to them.
