EDUC350 Classroom Management Plan (6th grade)

List of Behavior Expectations and Procedures


We will use voice level in my classroom. Level 0: no voices, Level 1: whisper, Level 2: table talk, Level 3: normal vo
Students come into school and are expected to put their backpacks and any clothes in their locker.
Students will bring their books and other assignment materials into the classroom.
When students come in they walk in respectfully and go to their desk and pull out their homework folder and turn in
Students will hand in papers respectfully, no messing around and put their assignments in the correctly colored bin.
If they have corrections get those done and turned in, when done sit quietly at their desk with a book

Students are not allowed to download any others apps, and are to only use websites
approve by the teacher.

When we use the iPad for class, students will stay on task and not play games while I am
instructing.

For our lessons when it comes to doing tests, quizzes or assignments on the iPads
students will try and not rush through it

Students need to make sure their iPads and pens are charged for class or tests. If they are
not charged students can use chargers in the back.

Once the bell rings, breakfast and other materials must be put away, and get ready for our
first subject.

When using the restrooms in between subjects students are to us the restroom and head
right back to class. No messing around at all
Transitions: I will give a 5 minute warning to finish up and get ready for the next subject.
Then when time is over students should be ready to go.

When students come into the class from extra subjects, they are to come in at a level 0
and grab out what they need for the next thing.

I will keep track of the students behavior with grading assignments.


EX: Spelling, reading or language art worksheets

When we grade assignments in class I will have students put pencils


in their desk and only have a highlighter or red pen on their desk.
While we are grading I would look around the room to make sure no
one is cheating. Another way is once they hand it in to go over
each paper and check to make sure no students are cheating.
Consequences need to be:

Short and to the point


Philasophy regarding consequences:
I believe when students receive a consequence it will only be for a short
amount of time it will not be forever or longer than it needs to be. I will allow
students a chance to make up for their action, give them an opp to fix the
mistake and learn from it. When thinking of a consequence for a student I
will keep in mind that I can't punish a student harshly if the action that they
did wasn't that bad. After I give a student a consequence, I will remind them
that I am not mad at them specifically I'm just upset with the behavior that
they administered. I still think that they are a good kid they just made a poor
choice.
