LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS 1

CO # 1-FIRST QUARTER

I. OBJECTIVE

A. Content Standard:
The learner demonstrates understanding of whole numbers up to 100, ordinal numbers up to 10th, money up to
PhP100.
B. Performance Standard:
The learner is able to recognize, represent, and order whole numbers up to 100 and money up to PhP100 in
various forms and contexts.
C. Learning Competency/ Objective:
Know: Demonstrate how to compare two sets using the expressions “fewer than” and “more than”.
Understanding: Comprehend how to compare two sets using the expressions “fewer than” and “more than”.
Do: Compare two sets using the expressions “fewer than” and “more than”. (M1NS- Id-5).

III. INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURE:


A. Preliminary Activities
1. Review
Let the pupils answer the following.
Match the number in column A with its correct set of objects in column B.

2. Motivation
Let the class sing/perform the following song entitled, “Ang Diutay nga Damang”.

Nag abot ang ulan
naanod siya.
Nagguwa ang adlaw
nagmala ang duta.
Ang diutay nga damang
nagsaka sa sanga.

B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
The teacher will show an illustration of a boy and a girl.

These are Bob and Ann.


Ann picked 6 red gumamelas.
Bob picked 8 yellow gumamelas.
Who has more gumamelas?
Who has fewer gumamelas?
