Message from the IHKSSSME

Dear Teachers and Students,

Commencing in 2011, our Institute provides academic courses based on the New Senior Secondary

Music Curriculum of Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) for senior secondary school

students. This 3-year course offers music training to students who sit for the HKDSE Music Examination.

Although the foreseeable goal for all of you apparently would be to attain good results in the HKDSE,

more importantly it would be your journey in the study of music and your pleasurable encounter with music.

In this course, you will receive training of musicianship, listening, theory, composition, western music history,

Chinese music, Cantonese opera, and popular music from our experienced tutors specialize in respective music

areas covered in the HKDSE. This course will inspire you to understand more about the fascinating world of

music. You will surely be rewarded for the effort you have put into this course of study.
