What is solar system?

Our solar system consists of eight planets orbiting a star, our sun. Most planets have at least
one moon orbiting it. In addition, there is an asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Numerous
comets also orbit the sun in elongated elliptical orbits.

Why is it called solar system?
According to NASA(https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/) our planetary system is called “the
solar system” because we use the word “solar” to describe things related to our star,
after the Latin word for Sun, "solis. Our solar system consists of our star, the Sun,
and everything bound to it by gravity the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter,
Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune; dwarf planets such as Pluto dozens of moons and
millions of asteroids, comets, and meteoroids.

Some facts about Solar system
🌎 - The Solar System formed 4.6 Billion years ago.

🚀 - The Solar System is part of The Milky Way.

☀ - There are 181 moons in The Solar System.

🌑 - The smallest planet in the Solar System is Mercury.

🌕 - All of the planets in our Solar System are named after Roman or Greek gods and goddesses expect Earth.

🌌 - There are more than one dwarf planets in our solar system such as Ceres, Eris, Makemake and Haumea.

☄ - It takes our solar system about 230 million years to complete one orbit around the galactic center.

🛸 - Earth is only a very small part of The Solar System.

🛰 - One million Earth can fit inside the Sun.

How did the planets of the Solar System come about?
The Sun and the planets formed together, 4.6 billion years ago, from a cloud of gas and dust called the
solar nebula. The Sun formed in the center, and the planets formed in a thin disk orbiting around it.
Comets condensed in the outer solar system, and many of them were thrown out to great distances by
close gravitational encounters with the giant planets. In a similar manner, moons formed orbiting the gas
giant planets. After the Sun ignited, a strong solar wind cleared the system of gas and dust.
What can we learn from the Solar system?
We as people can learn how our Solar system works or even learn more general knowledge about our
planet Earth or even other planets such as Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune
or even the stars because each one have a meaning, how life evolved on Earth and possibly elsewhere in the
solar system, and what characteristics of the solar system lead to the origins of life. Some people are interested
in History like when was the solar system first discovered or who eventual found out how the Solar system works
and learn how the universe started and the evolution of mankind.
