EDUCATION
Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values,
beliefs, and habits. Educational methods include teaching, training, storytelling, discussion and
directed research. It is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a
school or university. It also means helping people to learn how to do things and support them to
think about what they learn.
Education is the most crucial aspect of society which should be given great attention for it to
become the powerful tool to make every individual become the catalyst of change. Changes are
rampant on the society, but all of those are needed to make the society progressive and
functional. Society and every individual should work hand in hand so that no one would be set
aside and become outdated knowing that we are now living in a highly modernized society. In
order to achieve that, everyone should be aware on the functions of education in the society.
Just like Social control and change, Reconstruction of individual’s experiences, Development of
moral and social value, Providing equality and opportunity, Training ground for leadership,
Inculcation of social and civic responsibility and National Integration.
Education gives us a knowledge of the world around us and changes it into something
better. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life. It helps us build opinions and have
points of view on things in life. It is an important aspect that plays a huge role in the modern,
industrialized world. People need a good education to be able to survive in this competitive
world. It will help us to know what harm we are doing to the world and guides us to protect the
world from all dangers which are caused by human beings.
Education makes us better citizens by teaching us how to conduct ourselves through life by
following rules and regulations and giving us a sense of conscience. It makes us more confident
to go out there and achieve things. Many governments across the world have recognized the
importance of education as a tool to enhance progress and make the world a better place. It
helps us stand up against wrong and for the right progress; to be more productive; and connect
across borders.  It gives us a healthier lifestyle and empowerment.
