Introduction

Each nurse around the globe aspires to properly embrace their professional identity by using

their compassion to advance the well-being of those they serve. There are several advantages to caring

for others around us. Patients anticipate caregivers to be empathetic and caring because it promotes

recovery. The health professional fosters a strong sense of collaboration by expecting its members to

care. Self-care is crucial because it restores nurses' ability to deliver high-quality care. Caring should be

actively fostered as it is one of the fundamental components of the nurse's professional identity.

Building confidence is the first step in constructing a professional identity, and building confidence with

people requires compassion. Trusting other individuals and cooperating with them to enhance the work

environment and the standard of patient care is fundamental to developing one's professional identity

as a nurse. Therefore, this analysis will analyze the relationship between compassion, professional

identity, and professional groups and associations and how these factors help build competent nurses.
