4.1.4 FUNCTIONAL LOCATION HIERARCHY

F L Code consists of consecutively assigned Contract Area Code (1),

process facility type code (2), facility number (3), process system code (4),
process system identifier (5), functional code (6), and serial number of
equipment (7) in 4.4.1.2 FUNCTIONAL LOCATION CODING RULES
chapter.

Functional Location code levels from 1st to 5th provide logical information
where respective equipment is installed in, NOT physically. Up to 5th level,
the information give where it is located, which type it is so it is able to track
through representing unique codes.

F L code levels from 6th to 7th provide independent information with

functional code and serial number of Equipment. Level 6 th is referred based
on Appendix 2, 3 in <8009-9000-LUOC-0000-000-MAI-REG-000003-EN-A4>.

4.1.4.3 ELECTRIC

Electrical control and distribution systems are generally complex and

expensive equipment that need to be effectively maintained so they operate
at optimum performance over their serviceable life.

The electric system connects organically with many wires and it consists of
tree structure to control system for operating equipment.

As identifying electric system such as switchgear, capacity, transformer and

neutral grounding resistor indicated in layout drawings are physically
located in same zone/facilities, it is not unique composition. They are linked
to several wires with electric signal and have respective function of the
supply and demand in accordance with the power.

4.2 PIECE OF EQUIPMENT (PE)

4.2.1 SCOPE OF PIECE OF EQUIPMENT

PIECE OF EQUIPMENT (PE) means separate physical object that can be

serviced and repaired as an independent unit. A characteristic feature of pieces
of equipment is their ability to be installed on FL (mounting) and removed from
FL(dismantling).

The requirement of PIECE OF EQUIPMENT is based on functional location data.

It will be generally created by respective functional location with automatically
generated equipment numbers (1007320, 1007321).

In addition, the PE includes components of equipment like assembly types which

are deliverable itself. Contractor will create the components as child equipment,
named sub-assembly, only indicated in Vendor prints.

4.2.2 DESCRIPTION OF PIECE OF EQUIPMENT

Description of PIECE OF EQUIPMENT (PE) and Functional Location (FL) is

basically similar each other. The general description of PE provides information
which item is and its specifications.

The discrepancy of description between F L and PE is how much detail

represented. The following description for F L and PE show the difference.

Fundamentally, the description for piece of equipment represents basic

information that already indicated in functional location description. In terms of
MECHANICAL equipment, the following detail example will be helpful to
understand.

4.2.3 EQUIPMENT HIERARCHY

Equipment and Functional Location usually consists of the same level, thus
one unique (1) F L Code will connect with respective equipment one
another. However, if the sub-assemblies are installed on the main
equipment, Contractor will create sub-Assembly as child (equipment) and it
should be linked to their respective main equipment as parent.

Sub-Assemblies shall be created if the components have been installed on

main equipment and it should be represented in official Vendor print such
as part lists, cross sectional drawings with BOM list and relevant drawings.
