Good morning,

I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out in hopes that you would be willing to reconsider my
request for a 5% annual salary increase. My previous request was denied on the grounds of a
“weak economy”, and I understand we are all facing challenges during these stressful times.
However, I believe that my contribution to the company deserves to be recognized.

My sales numbers are in the top 10% of the company, and I am responsible for the 40% of the
sales in my division. Furthermore, the company has experienced steady and considerable growth
in profits over the past 5 years. Considering my exceptional performance and the company's
financial success, I believe it is only fair to be given a salary increase.

I understand that company policy states that any salary-related complaints or requests must be
put in writing, and I hope that you will give my request some consideration. I look forward to
hearing from you soon.
