1.0 SUMMARY

The Food Safety and Halal Internal Auditors conducts complete, detailed and objective
internal food safety and halal audits and reports their findings to the Food Safety and Halal
Team Leader and top management.

2.0 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of Food Safety and Halal Internal Audit Team

 Prepares the audit plan

 Conducts integrated food safety and halal audit where required in accordance with:
- Halal UAE.S 2055 - 1:2015 Standard
- Philippine.S 2055 - 1:2015 Standard
- HACCP CAC / RCP 1-11969 REV 04-2003 Standard
 Prepare and results of Food Safety and Halal Audits
 Conduct an audit with the full authority of the executive management.
 Should be independent of the function being audited.
 Should be objective when undertaking audits.

2.1 Food Safety and Halal Lead Auditor

 Managing a team of Internal Auditors within the performance of internal audits.

 Appointing roles and duties to internal audit team members to ensure the success of
the audit.
 Leading the audit team and ensuring that audit reports are honest, accurate, impartial,
and useful.

2.2 Food Safety and Halal Auditors

 carry out audits of food safety and halal programs required by the regulations
 carry out follow-up action, including further audits, to determine whether action has
been taken to remedy any deficiencies identified in an audit.
 carry out assessments of food safety and halal standards to ascertain their compliance
with requirements

3.0 KEY COMPETENCIES

 Ability to recognize food safety and halal quality criteria.
 Knowledgeable in halal requirements & standards.
 Ability to recognize potential non halal issues .

 Ability to write clear and concise audit findings report
