Module 2: Yellowdig Discussion - Molly's Game

Molly's Game and the memoir of Molly Bloom similarly delve into extraordinary
achievements and failure. The narrative is authentic and the leadership principles it teaches are
as well. To subvert is to cause downfall, ruin, or destruct.  We can successfully guide individuals
to process information differently and draw out their potential when we subvert our own ego,
as we aren't directing them on how to behave or offering solutions. What is the takeaway?
Molly's entrepreneurial drive is what propels this film beyond in terms of leadership. It
unabashedly shows Molly's keen intellect and determination as what drove her to prominence,
yet while she made poor decisions, the movie doesn't downplay them. Conversely, her missteps
serve as teachable moments, transforming her into an adroit and powerful character. In order
to achieve excellent results, you must sometimes get out of your team's way. And, occasionally,
you should also get out of your own way! Molly began to recognize the habits that impeded her
progress, in addition to confronting the issues that surface and consistently block her path.  This
enabled her to transform them into a unique system that supported her goals. We can follow
suit. Be mindful and take steps to identify which behavioral habits are hindering your progress.
