Orientation:

On a Monday, my classmates and I traveled to a village called Balloci in Pangkep. We took a bus from
Makassar to Pangkep and were warmly greeted upon arrival in the village. We were assigned to
different houses, and I stayed at Posko 5 with ten other people, including our mentor.

Events:

On the second day, we woke up at 5 a.m. to go to the mosque for morning prayers. After the
prayers, my posko mates and I helped our foster mother put her cow in the barn. Later that day, we
went back to our house and rested while waiting for Maghrib prayer.

On the third day, we went to the river to take a refreshing bath before going back to the house to
wait for Asr prayer. After the prayer, we went to the local elementary school to teach the children.
The students were smart and eager to learn, making it an enjoyable experience.

On the fourth day, we repeated the same routine as the previous day, teaching at the school and
resting at the posko afterward.

On the fifth day, my posko mates and I made a traditional Pangkep cake called "kue tarajon'g" for a
competition that would be held after Isha prayer. After the prayer, we participated in a lively
farewell party before heading back to Makassar the next day.

Re-orientation:

Overall, our trip to Balloci was a memorable experience. We were able to immerse ourselves in the
local culture, help the community, and make new friends. Although we faced some challenges, we
overcame them and enjoyed every moment of our trip.
