Question 4.

2 From what internal and external sources might information about

environmental or sustainability legislation, regulations and codes of practice be gathered?
How can this information be used?
Professional and industry associations, religion organizations, governmental organizations, and
supply-chain partners are some significant external information sources. The knowledge
identified from internal and external sources needs to be captured and used to react to
changes, understand the market, and remain competitive. Key internal sources include
supervisors, employees, business meetings, and the corporate sustainability report. This
suggests that the company needs to be aware of where its goods are in the life cycle and how
external factors affect adoption, acceptance, and success.

Question 4.3 Describe the elements required for the development of organizational
sustainability policies and processes.
Elements to the policy include creating sustainability policies and procedures, informing
stakeholders, putting the policies into practice, and conducting routine evaluations to ensure
ongoing development.
