I hereby express my interest in the above-mentioned position. My most recent role has been working
as the Regional Program Specialist for Africa at American Leprosy Missions (ALM). This role
entailed ensuring a portfolio of projects in the Africa region are managed and reported on with
excellence. Other roles I have held include: Program Specialist at Research Triangle Institute (RTI)
International, Project Manager at World Vision International among others.
During the over 14 years of my career, I have grown into a proven leader in the design and
management of programs and projects in Kenya and the African region. I currently serve at various
Technical Working Groups in the country and region. This, I have done in collaboration with
relevant government structures at both national and decentralized levels, as well as with non-state
actors such as donors, NGOs, CBOs, FBO institutions and worksites. Overtime, I have enhanced my
capacity in managing resources including teams of staff from diverse backgrounds, finances and
other assets.
I have participated in proposal development including US Government Objective Review Panels
(ORPs) for funding in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Côte-d'Ivoire and DRC and nurtured partnerships
and relationships. I do appreciate the importance of adhering to established institutional operating
procedures as well as the importance of promoting visibility of projects for the benefit of the
organization.
I am well versed with Microsoft office suite as well as the use of analysis packages such as SPSS,
STATA and EPI - INFO. I also have the ability to speak French language. I look forward to hearing
