English – Granny Hanna

The fire cackled on the moonlit sky as sliver stars glistered in the cold black night. The owls
hooted in intervals and the giggling of the children were heard. The five kids sat around the
campfire roasting their marshmallows while listening to Derrick’s story of Granny Hanna.
There was once a strangle, wrinkled, old lady who lived in the old hut, she was a very
peculiar woman but town folks believed she was a witch. Mr. James and his crew devised a
plan to get rid of Hanna by causing an avalanche, after the snow was dug up there was no
sign of Hanna.

This led to a celebration for the witch’s death but sooner or later complains began to arrive
about the old woman’s hut. People saw smoke coming out of the chimney and heard a voice
saying “It’s so cold” repeatedly. Some say Granny Hanna sprit was still alive there trying to
get warm, Derrick looked up at the other’s faces to see them trembling with fear. He threw
his self back onto the dirt with an aloud laughter. Explaining to them, the story was a fake,
the group watched him with disbelieved, as they pointed into the same direction. Derrick
turned around and saw smoke coming out from the chimney, he dropped his smore and
trembled. Thoughts flashed through his head but he couldn’t believe it, he decided to
investigate. His friends looked at each other and slowly began to follow him. The door
creaked opened as there was only furniture in sight, the kids began to search the house.

Derrick felt goose bumps while walking through the house, “Cling Cling” was heard as a
cup fell onto the ground. The group moved to the kitchen and saw the golden cup laying on
the floor. Suddenly, a shadow grew behind them which made their fear rise to the limit,
screams were heard for a moment and then it got silent. Day’s have passed and the kids were
filed to be missing, which left their parent in grief as the town kept searching for the lost
kids.
