Capstone Update #2

What I have accomplished so far

Since my last capstone update I have formed an idea for the film, created a script and started on
storyboarding. The script slightly deviated from my original idea of coming of age film like “Napoleon
Dynamite” or “Little Miss Sunshine” for one more experimental with some slight elements of horror. I
have fully completed the script and have assigned my actors and have shown them the script.

What I plan to accomplish by the end of the week

I plan to continue working on the storyboard for the next week then show it to my mentor.

My needs (materials, time, space, mentor etc.)

I have spent about 5-6 hours on the script and have been using celtx for it. I have started working on the
storyboard on paper.

Challenges I encountered and how I have overcome them

I struggled with starting on the script as I feared my idea wouldn’t make sense or would not be related
to the genre I wished to do. I overcame it by just starting to write on the script and to communicate with
my actors to have their takes on the script.
