    THE ROLE THAT AMEC PLAYED TOWARDS NAMIBIA’S

    INDIPENDENCE

    AMEC played an important role in repatriation and


    integration of exiles in society.

    THE FORMATION OF AMEC

    AMEC was formed in 1821,in New York, in the United


    States. Before it was introduce to Namibia.

    THE FOUNDERS OF AMEC

    The founders were Richard Allen and Absalom Jones in


    the 1816s.

    WHAT DO AMEC MEMBERS BELIEVE AS A CHURCH

    They believe that all people should have a personal


    relationship with God that transform their lives.
    They also believed that faith in God should lead
    people into service for others.

    WHY WERE THE UNITED CHUCHES ESTABLISHED LIKE AMEC

    *Because they wanted to adapt Christianity


    *To develop worship pattern that are relevant to
    their needs
    *To avoid being discriminated against in the
    missionary churches

    WHEB WAS AMEC ENSTABLISHED IN NAMIBIA

    -It was established in 1946

    Paster Hendrik Witbooi was leading AMEC through the


    large group of Damaras.
