EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 47, SERIES OF 2022

AN ORDER DESIGNATING PORTION OF THE AREA OF THE TEMPORARY

TERESA PUBLIC MARKET LOCATED AT THE SAN GABRIEL/DALIG
DIVERSION ROAD, AS THE EXCLUSIVE SELLING AREA OF FIRECRACKERS
AND PYROTECHNIC DEVICES FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF TERESA, RIZAL,
AND REITERATING SOME PROVISIONS OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 28, S.
2017

WHEREAS, then former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issued Executive Order No.
28, series of 2017, which regulates and controls the use of firecrackers and other
pyrotechnic devices;

WHEREAS, Section 3 of E.O. 28, series of 2017 provides that pursuant to R.A 7183,
the Director-General of the PNP is hereby to promulgate criteria for what constitutes
prohibited firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices within thirty (30) days from effectivity
of the Order, and to provide specific lists of such devices as may be necessary for
the guidance of the public, which will be disseminated to all concerned. All fireworks
falling under such criteria may not be manufactured, sold, distributed or used even
as part of a community fireworks display;

WHEREAS, pursuant to E.O. No. 28, series of 2017, the Sanggunian Bayan of
Teresa, Rizal passed an Ordinance (Municipal Ordinance No. 9, series of 2017)
regulating the sale, distribution, possession and use of firecrackers and/or
pyrotechnic devices within the Municipality of Teresa, Rizal;

WHEREAS, Section 7(A) of said Ordinance empowers the Local Chief Executive,
upon the recommendation of the Bureau of Fire, Philippine National Police and the
Public Safety Office, to “designate a zone for the exclusive selling of firecrackers and
pyrotechnic devices during yuletide season”;

WHEREAS, the portion of the area where the temporary Teresa Public Market is
located, San Gabriel/Dalig Diversion Road is hereby designated as the exclusive
selling area of allowable firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices.
NOW, THEREFORE, I RODEL N. DELA CUZ, Municipal Mayor of Teresa, Rizal, by
virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate the portion of the area
where the temporary Teresa Public Market is currently situated (San Gabriel/Dalig
Diversion Road) as the exclusive selling area for firecrackers and other pyrotechnic
devices.

This order shall take effect immediately.
