Homework: Case Study Analysis

TRASHed at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California Questions:
I. In your perspective do you think that the target audience was profiled
successfully? Why or why not?

Yes, the target audience was successfully profiled because they posted on social media
networks encouraging artists to join them and submit their designs for the contest, and as a
result, they joined and because of artists, it attracts more attendees. In our opinion, the fifty
artists from around the world have a big impact on the event held, the Global Inheritance,
because they are attracted to see different artists and to attend the Music and Art Festival
because it is a fun event.

II. In which type/s of event marketing is/are used? Justify your answer

The event marketing used the Indirect Marketing which is Social Media, Guerilla Marketing and
Publicity.

However, to our opinion, they used social media to broaden the promotion of their event and
project, and the artists were informed via social media networks. Because they held a music
and art festival, they also used guerilla marketing. Finally, the volunteer artists who participate
and submit their designs can help promote the event by posting it to their social media
accounts; fortunately, if that artist is a famous artist or vlogger, the promotion can be easily
spread. And because the artists who have joined are from all over the world, their event
marketing will be more extensive, and it may attract media attention as a result of those artists
coming from all over the world.

III. In your opinion discuss the benefits of the event on the following;

A. Global Inheritance (organization)

The benefit of the event in Global Inheritance, in our opinion, is that it raises media
awareness of their organization and helps them with their charity. The donation may increase as
more people become aware of what they are doing and how it will benefit the community, which
will motivate them to fund the organization. They also gained thousands of attendees who will
help them spread the word about what the organization is doing, what the purpose is, and what
the benefit will be if you attend a future event that Global Inheritance will be holding. This
generates a favorable impression of their company.

B. Indio, California (community/locality)

In our opinion, the benefit in the community/locality in Indio, California of the event it is
said there that the 65-gallon recycling bins designed by volunteer artists were donated to a
school in Coachella Valley. So it will encourage them to recycle and be more aware about what
the program taught and to create awareness in our environment that we need to recycle but it
can be called recycle in artistic way like what the event held and to also appreciate the artwork.

c. Artists
The volunteer artist designed the 65-gallon recycling bins. They added a twist to their
recycling bin project by designing it to show that even used and old plastics can be a
beautiful and useful thing for the community. This project encourages people to recycle
plastic and decorate it for better things. It will also expose them to the public and the media,
and their artworks may be discovered by other artists in high positions or with extensive
experience.
C. 85000 attendees

This project can change the mindset of the 85,000 attendees who joined by showing
them the amazing transformation of a recycled trash and encouraging them that recycling
can help the world and not to consume many chemicals but to recycle it.
