True story: The Story of Schizophrenia Survivors: They Say I'm Crazy, But I Have a Work.

Saka Rosanta (37) was surprised when his books were bought by Health Minister Nila F Moeloek.
He can be ridiculed by people for being a survivor of schizophrenia, but who can beat him in
spawning five books with poetic writing?

Bli Saka, his greeting, tells that he has had schizophrenia since childhood. His traumatized past of a
broken home family made him grow up with many disturbances.

"Hang yourself three times but the rope broke. Drink poison once in high school. Keep getting
traumatized. Severe healing trauma, due to parenting as a child. Living on a stepmother I have felt
violence at home. Insomnia, unable to sleep, since elementary school," he did not when met on the
sidelines of the thematic visit of the Indonesian Ministry of Health.

Uniquely, he can defeat these diseases through self therapy and the help of his wife. At that time he
was raging, then his wife asked him if he would continue to dwic on his own world or work. It
made him think about finding therapy for him.

"I think what is meant by the world itself? So I'll just tell you about schizophrenia and subconscious
suggestions, I'm looking for self-healing for myself. Finally succeeded, recovered. The trick is to
write, starting in 2015 or 2016," said Bli Saka.

Saka told the background that made him write a book. He said people with schizophrenia actually
just need to pour what they have in mind. Well, specifically for Saka, he felt that writing what was
on his mind into the form of a book could help him.

"I was obsessed, so in that conversation I visualized the person and ended up being a conversation
in myself and finally being able to communicate even though it was only in imagination, but I
could recover, that's strange," said Bli Saka.

"My wife, I made a novel, my third novel with the title is the Book on Paper. My wife's name is
Dewi. The ending is Dewi who is like Dewi Kwan Im. A loving mother takes care of me," Saka
said.

In addition to self-therapy and wife's support, Rumah Berdaya also provides great assistance for
Saka. Rumah Berdaya is a psychocial rehabilitation place for people with schizophrenia (SDO) or
ODGJ under the auspices of the Denpasar social service in collaboration with the Indonesian
Schizophrenia Care Community (KPSI). According to Saka, Rumah Berkarya and himself have a
relationship like children and fathers.
"We are very loved here like babies to tumbu and find our identity. I met on social media. Ask for
treatment help. I used to be curious because I was angry at home, I was almost paralyzed and
couldn't walk."

From there, he was taught to activate creativity from making incense, screen printing, to making
totebags.

"Dupa is selling very well, almost once a week three days is processed," said Saka.

Saka doesn't take medicines every day, it's just that now you still have to inject medicine once a
month. This injection called Saka aims to destroy dopamine in the brain so as not to experience
excessive anxiety.

Saka has now been blessed with two children, a boy and a girl. He cheerfully said that his son has
now been in 3rd grade, junior high and 5 elementary school. Saka's life is back in color, he can fight
schizophrenia and turns into proof that the stigma about schizophrenia is the same as ‘ crazy ’
people is wrong.

"Just let the stigma in society be. But we've been fighting against stigma by working, by making
anything like that. Schizophrenic people can also work by writing, painting, all our regular work
outside, there is still a lot we can do," he said.
