III-Procedure:

Preliminary Activity:

A. Motivation:

Show different pictures to the class and let


them identify which materials can absorb
water and which are not.

B. Presentation:
Let the pupils identify the following
materials if they are solid, liquid or
Gas.

C. Discussion:
Teacher will conduct a small
experiment.
Explain to them that the following
materials have the ability to sink and
Float.

D. Application:

Group work: Divide the class into 4


groups. Have the pupils classify the
following materials that they will used on
their experiment based on their ability to to
sink and float.

E. Generalization:

Porous materials are materials that have


small holes that allows air or liquid to pass
through. Non porous material don’t have
holes and do not allow air or liquid to pass
through. Float means to stay on top of water.
Sink is the ability to submerge underwater.
Decay, decompose through the action of
Bacteria.
