 WHAT IS NARRATIVE TEXT

Narrative text is a type of text that tells a series of events with a
chronological system or are interconnected. Narrative text are
generally imaginative, aka not real or in the form of the
imagination of the author
• Narrative text adalah salah satu jenis teks yang menceritakan
rangkaian peristiwa dengan sistem pronologis atau saling
terhubung.Narrative text umunya bersifat imajinatif alias tidak nyata
atau berupa hasil imajinasi dari penulisnya.
 GENERIC STRUCTURE

• Struktur dari Narrative Text adalah Orientasi, Komplikasi, Dan Resolusisi

 LANGUAGE
FEATURE
•Most often use past tense, it can be simple past tense, past continuous, or other past tense forms.
Action verbs. It is a verb that shows an action.Example: General noun,Present tense,Passive
voice,Linking verb,Timeless present,Scientific term

•Paling sering menggunakan past tense, bisa simple past tense, past continuous, atau bentuk past
tense lainnya.
Kata kerja tindakan. Ini adalah kata kerja yang menunjukkan suatu tindakan.kata benda umum,kata
kerja,kalimat yang subjeknya dikenai suatu perbuatan atau aktivitas, menghubungkan kata
kerja,penanda waktu,istilah ilmiah

 EXAMPLE NARRATIVE
The Fox and The Grapes
One afternoon there was a fox that was walking through the forest and spotted a bunch of grapes hanging from
over a lofty branch. "Just the thing to quench my thirst," quoted the fox. Taking a few steps backward, the fox
jumped but unfortunately he missed the hanging grapes. Again the fox took a few paces backward, ran, and tried
to reach them but he still failed.finally, giving up, the fox turned up his nose and said, "They're probably sour
anyway," and proceeded to walk away.
•Rubah dan Anggur

Suatu sore hari, ada seekor rubah yang sedang berjalan melewati hutan dan melihat sekelompok anggur
tergantung di cabang yang tinggi. "Hanya ini yang bisa memuaskan dahaga saya", kata si rubah. Kemudian
mundur beberapa langkah, rubah tersebut melompat tapi sayangnya dia gagal mendapatkan buah anggur yang
menggantung tersebut. Sekali lagi rubah mundur beberapa langkah, berlari, dan mencoba untuk menjangkaunya
tapi dia masih gagal.Akhirnya, menyerah, rubah menunjuk hidungnya dan berkata, "Mereka mungkin asam", dan
kemudian pergi.
