Supplement for power head calibration

⚫ Tera term
➢ USB serial converter cable requires drive software, but you can install it
automatically by “Plug & Play”. If, not work, please use CD-ROM sent together with
the cable.
➢ You can choose “serial port” after USB serial converter cable installed.
➢ You can save the set-up value so that you don’t need to set up afterwards.

⚫ Connection
➢ 4P connector to J203 of LED board on Power Head

➢ Turn ON the DIP switches 1 and 6 of S1 on the Power head, and push the power
button on the console
⚫ Indication of set values
 ➢ Press ”L” key to confirm communication establishment and check set value.
⚫ Calibration of pressure offset
➢ Refer to the procedure on Service Manual
➢ After completion of the calibration, press “Esc” key to return “Product Mode” and
press “Shift” + “W” key to save the data. This routine is applied after each calibration
process via Tera term.
⚫ Limit position adjustment
➢ No need to adjust the position. Skip this process.
⚫ Calibration of rear limit position
➢ Set the syringe adapter for both of A & B side.
➢ Refer to the procedure on Service Manual
⚫ Measurement of no-load current of motor
➢ Refer to the procedure on Service Manual
⚫ Motor current overpressure test
➢ Turn off the power supply and then turn on 1,2,3, return 6 down of DIP switch S1

➢ Connect syringe, pressure gauge and 23G needle to the tubing set as bellow photo.
All components are included in the package and the tubing set was already assembled
at our side.
➢ Fill water into a bottle and put both end of tube (tube with 23G as well) into the
bottle.
➢ Set the 3way valve to close 23G needle side

➢ React the plunger and fill 50mL water into the syringe
➢ Set 100mL syringe on A side.
➢ Turn the 3way valve to close w/o 23G needle side
➢ Set the rate of 4.0mL/sec., the volume of 50mL and the pressure limiter 300psi on
the console.
➢ Turn off the power supply and then return 1,2,3, of DIP switch S1 off
 ➢ Start injection and check if the pressure peak value should stop around 1.47 to
2.26MPa by the pressure gauge.
➢ Remove the syringe from A side and react 50ml again. After that, set it on B-side.
➢ Touch “syringe mark” and set the flow rate and injection volume as the bellow photo.

➢ Start injection and check if the pressure peak value should stop around 1.47 to

⚫ Pressure gain adjustment from console
➢ Turn on the unit from the console normally
➢ Open the maintenance hatch of the console and turn on DIP switch 8 on the part
selection screen or injection setting screen,
➢ The calibration screen will be displayed.

➢ Touch A or B to select the head. Set the gain value of each syringe with "<", ">" key.
(Offset value is unchangeable)
➢ Set factory setting value for QCB30172G as bellow.

➢ Return DIP switch 8 off.
