though your journey with us, that you will gain valuable knowledge that will aid you in the rest of your career to
make you a safer and more professional pilot. The aim of this document is to provide all the relevant information
related to the ATPL(A) Theoretical Knowledge Course.

The Aim of the ATPL(A) Modular Theoretical Knowledge Course

(aa)The aim of the ATPL(A) Modular theoretical knowledge course is to train pilots, who have not
received the theoretical knowledge instruction during an integrated course of training, to the
level of knowledge required for the ATPL(A) in accordance with CARs/CATS and to provide the
foundations on which they are able to build successful careers as airline pilots .
(bb)The objective of each subject is to
A. Gain an in-depth understanding of the modular content as prescribed by the SACAA
Syllabi at Appendix 2B of CAR 2011.
B. Understand the relevance of the theoretical knowledge in the context of practical flying.

Academy internal examinations and de-brief 1 week
Six SACAA ATPL examinations 3 weeks

(c) COURSE START DATE AND AVAILABILITY


1) Course dates are: 14 - 25 August 2017(week days only)
2) The course can accommodate up to 24 learners per Cohort.
3) A minimum of 4 students required per cohort before the course will commence.

(d)ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
(aa)An applicant for the ATPL(A) Modular course must:
A. have attained the age of 17
B. hold a valid CPL in accordance with ICAO Annex 1
C. hold a Class 1 or Class 2 medical certificate
D. be able to read, write, understand and orally communicate satisfactorily in the English
language
E. demonstrate sufficient knowledge of Mathematics, Physics and English to facilitate an
understanding of the theoretical knowledge instruction content of the course
F. Have shown sufficient knowledge of theoretical subjects by submitting mock exams via
Question Bank before course start date(Question Bank will be free of charge).

(e) PRICING

The total pricing for the ATPL(A) Theoretical Knowledge Course will be:

R15 730.00 R12 500.00 (Including VAT)

Modular courses available on demand

Pricing Includes the following:

58 Hours module instruction as per section (a) and (b),


1 week of Academy internal examinations and de-brief,
And Food and Beverage for every day of instruction.
Question Bank subscription for 1 month.
