Updated Annotated Bibliography Assignment Guidelines
You are to prepare an Annotated Bibliography of 3 sources for your research topic.
There are two parts to this exercise:
The bibliographic reference is the information that identifies the source, for example, the
author, title of the work, publication information and URL (where applicable).
The annotation is a paragraph beneath the reference that requires you to:
a. Begin the annotation by stating the credentials of the author(s), once available.
b. Then, summarize the contents of the source.
c. Also, state how the information in the source contributed to your understanding of
the topic.
d. Lastly, identify any particular strengths or weaknesses of the source in relation to
your topic, thesis or research in general.
1. Your annotations should each be approximately 10-12 lines. Write one or two

6. Attach a correctly formatted cover page and left align your text.
