Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing in connection with the recent decision of the local council to stop
providing under 18s with a cheaper way to travel around the city. Since my
parents are unable to devote sufficient time to driving me to school every day. In
order to get to school, I use public transportation.

I was horrified to find out that underage travel passes are no longer available.
The primary reason I oppose the decision is that cheaper transport benefits the
environment. In the absence of affordable transportation, more parents would be
forced to drive their children to school, which would result in increased
emissions of fossil fuels.

It is my understanding that other commuters may feel that this is unfair. It

should, however, not be cheaper for everyone, given that students receive lower
allowances than the average person, and most parents do not consider
transportation to be a significant expense.

In conclusion, I believe that public transport is beneficial to the environment as

well as young residents and should be continued. It would be greatly appreciated
if you could resolve the matter as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,
