Publisher (Mizan Group). The novel became the best-selling book on Gramedia, and was
adapted into a film called Dilan 1990. . This story is set in the 90’s. The novel tells about the
love story between two teenagers Dilan and Milea. Milea as the first person point of view tells
about her love story with Dilan. Dilan is a leader of a motorcycle gangster in Bandung. Dilan
become a leader even he still a high school student. The story began when Milea moved from
Jakarta to Bandung and became transferred student in Dilan’s school. Milea is beautiful and very
kind girl. Dilan fell in love in Milea from the first sight. After that the love story began. The
story is just about how Dilan tried to make Milea interested with him. Dilan has his own way to
catch Milea attention And finally Milea also fall in love with Dilan because his unique character.
Although Dilan is the leader from gangster but he has kind attitude to the older, kids, and girl.
The plot actually just very simple and the conflict is not really complicated but the sweet
teenager love story become the interesting thing here.
