TITLE
Placing Weld Notes in Iso Drawing Area
ISSUE
Weld attributes can be shown under the weld list tables, but how can they be shown as a message of welds in the Iso drawing region?
ENVIRONMENT
Not version specific
RESOLUTION
The key is to add weld attribute enclosure data in isogen’s definition (.ddf file). It must be setup differently in different isogen versions.
1. Go to Drawing.Welds.WeldEnclosures.
2. Add a new record with the desired weld-attribute (1-100), weld category and regular enclosure types.
In older versions, isogen allows picking weld attributes to build the weld enclosure table without having to enable weld numbers. However, in I-
configure, it is only allowed with special type enclosures which is not always desired and therefore must be done differently, as follows:
1. Go to Drawing Area.Graphics.Additional.
2. Check “enable”.
3. In Data field write the weld enclosure data in the format given below. Each record must be added with a new line entry.
WELD-ATTRIBUTE-ENCLOSURES
MESSAGE-TYPE WELD-ATTRIBUTEN
• MESSAGE-POINTED
• MESSAGE-ROUND
• MESSAGE-TRIANGLE
• MESSAGE-DIAMOND
• MESSAGE-SQUARE
• MESSAGE-CIRCLE
• MESSAGE-UNBOXED
Note - Weld attributes 1 to 4 are reserved for isogen’s delivered weld labels. Other available weld attributes must be mapped to the Smart 3D catalog
label to write the data in the PCF first in order to show them on the drawing.
