    Directions: Today we will be doing a group discussion based on what we have read in The Odyssey so
    far. Below you will find many different prompts to help start your discussion. The directions on how to do
    this activity will be on the board. Each student must speak in the discussion at least once.

    1. Choose the prompt on the board and answer it however you want!
    2. Explain how a specific situation (of your choice) would be difficult, in your opinion, if
    another character was the lead in this Epic
    3. Based on what you have read so far, predict what you think will happen next
    4. Do you think you would do anything differently than Odysseus? If so, what? Why?

    5. Tell me about a choice you think a character should have made instead. Why do you think
    this?
    6. Do you think Poseidon had a good reason to curse Odysseus? Do you think he was wrong?
    7. Do you think Odysseus is selfish or selfless?
    8. Choose your own topic!
