Why do we need to learn how to record the weight and measurements of

ingredients and materials and how to do costing?

We must learn how to record the weight and measurements of ingredients

and materials is because as consumers and future producers, weighing
ingredients for quality compliance is extremely important. This is because
ingredients must be weighed to fulfill product recipe specifications and
quality requirements. Measuring ingredients with extreme accuracy ensures
they are distributed equally, and the product tastes the same in every batch.

Costing is also an important skill that we can use every day to calculate our
expenses on the materials and ingredients and is vital when it comes to
creating a business.

IV. Values Integration

Recitation

The teacher will call on students about the significance of why it is important
to have a formula to calculate our expenses.

1. Why is it important for us to know a formula to use in calculating

expenses?

V. Assignment

Problem Solving

The teacher will give students a problem solving assignment.

Ms. Eugenio runs a business that makes Keychains.
A client ordered 100 Keychains, Mrs. Eugenio uses Vellum Board as a
packaging material.

The price of Vellum Board is 30 Pesos per 10 Sheets, meaning 3 Pesos per
1 Sheet.

How much is Mrs. Eugenio’s expenses on the packaging materials
