A SEMI – DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN


TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION

USE OF FISH PROCESSING TOOLS

Date: March 14, 2023

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to:

a. Identify records of weights and measurements of raw materials and


ingredients according to workplace standard operating procedure.
b. Gather and summarize data needed for records of weights and measurements
according to workplace standard operating procedure.
c. Perform accurately the basic calculation and present tabulated data needed
according to enterprise requirements.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Interpreting Manufacturer’s Specifications

Module 1: Food (Fish) Processing Exploratory

Materials: TV, PowerPoint Presentation, Blackboard and Chalk.

b. Motivation

“How can you?”

Before the teacher starts the discussion with their students, the teacher will ask
the students questions about tool and equipment care and maintenance.

The teacher will first find out if they are familiar of taking care of tools and
equipment in their household that are related to fish processing.

Mechanics:
 The teacher will ask the students questions regarding tool and
equipment care and maintenance
 The students will then share their opinions and insights about it.
 The student that is first to raise their hand will be given the chance to
give their thoughts.

c. Presentation

The teacher will start the class by continuing onto their group reporting, the 4
remaining groups will be reporting on their group work.

The teacher will then listen in and grade the performance of the groups based
on the rubrics that have been provided.

The teacher can also ask questions to the reporting group about additional
information about tips and recommendation.

Once the last 4 groups are done reporting, the teacher will then introduce them
to their upcoming group activity for Friday (March 10, 2023)

d. Application

“Let’s draw the tools and equipment!”


The students are tasked to grouping up into 3 for the group activity.

1. The teacher will do a random raffle for the groups on the tool and
equipment that they are going to work on their illustration board.
2. The tools and equipment must be each unique to the group so that there
will be variety in their outputs.
3. The students will also have to write down and design the usages of these
tools and equipment and also include tips in taking care and maintaining
alongside it.

The group work must be conducted within the classroom schedule.

e. Generalization
Why do we need to learn to take care and repair tools and equipment?

It is so we can prolong the usage of these tools and equipment, being able
to maintain it to last longer will give us financial benefits where we can
spend less of our money and save it for important endeavors.

Learning proper maintenance and repair for tools and equipment can also
give us experience in knowing the ins and outs of how to use the available
resources in fixing these.

IV. Values Integration

Recitation

The teacher will call on students about the significance of learning proper tool
and equipment and their thoughts about what they would prefer;

1. Would they choose a cheaper tool or a cheaper equipment?

V. Assignment
The students in groups must prepare the following materials for their
illustration board drawing:

1. 1/8th Illustration Board


2. Coloring Materials
3. Design Materials
4. Plastic Cover
5. Tape
