Sub- Himalayan Region

Darjeeling Himalayan hill region or Darjeeling is the Mountain area on the north western side
of the state of West Bengal in India Which is known as sub-Himalayan Region. This region belongs
to the Eastern Himalayan range.
The Darjeeling districts, the Siliguri subdivision and entire Kalimpong District constitute this
region. It arises abruptly from the Tarai region. The region slopes from a south to north direction.
The Teesta River divides the region in two parts- The region to the west of Teesta and another
one is the region to the east of Teesta.
(1) Hill of the West of Teesta: This is highest region of the Darjeeling Himalayan Hill region.
Two distance ranges are visible here. The Singalila range and The Darjeeling kurseon
range.
(2) Hill of the East of Teesta: The Chola range is situated on the Sikkim-Bhutan border. The
highest peak is Rishila. Kalimpong district is situated in this region.

র্ত্স্তা নদী অঞ্চ টিতে দুটি ভাতর্ র্র্ভক্ত েতরতে- র্ত্স্তার পর্িতমর অঞ্চ এর্িং অনযটি র্ত্স্তার পূ তর্ির অঞ্চ ।

(1) তিস্তার পতিমের পাহাড়: এটি দার্জির্ িং র্িমা য় পার্িত্য অঞ্চত র সতর্িাচ্চ অঞ্চ । দুটি দূরত্ব ররে এখাতন দৃিযমান। র্সঙ্গার্ া
ররে এর্িং দার্জির্ িং োর্সিয়ন ররে।
(2) তিস্তার পূ মবে র পাহাড়: রিা ররে র্সর্েম-ভুটান সীমাতন্ত অর্র্িত্। সতর্িাচ্চ িৃ ঙ্গ ঋর্ি া। োর্ ম্পিং রজ া এই অঞ্চত অর্র্িত্।
