Warm up: Make milky way with newspapers glitter and glue or sand. 
Theme Talk: What is in the space? Ask if children if they know anything about space. There are at least 40 galaxies in the space. The

milky way is a spiral galaxy in which we live. The center of galaxy is very hard to see. There are at least 200 billion stars   including sun in
this galaxy. Show pictures of galaxy.

 Our Solar System: The solar system is made up of the sun and other small bodies that move around it. Our solar system consist of the

sun, eight planets, moons and many dwarf planets. The sun is the center of solar system. The eight planets that orbit around the sun are
called Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.

Warm up: paste stars of foil paper on black chart paper to show stars in the sky.
Circle Time  Stars in the sky: talk about stars in the sky with children. Explain, that the stars are still there in the sky but we cannot see them in the day time
because the suns shines in the daytime.

Theme Talk: Facts of Planets: The largest planet is Jupiter. It is so big that all seven planets could fit in it. Mercury is the smallest in

What makes a day? Place the globe on the table top and shine a flashlight (mobile torch) on the globe and tell the children that the sun shining on
Discovery the portion of the each causes daylight and the other side is night. Tell children to hold flash light aiming the globe and slowly rotate the
globe to show how earth rotates through the day.
