Genetically Modified Foods are easier to store and transport because they are
processed over a longer period, allowing them to produce different organisms within their
physical existence. Genetically Altered Foods are more developed since they are examined
and scrutinized by the researchers and biochemists. While experiments and examinations
are ongoing, proponents are still learning about the effects of substituting genetically
modified foods for natural products. Researchers and biochemists nowadays are
experimenting and inventing ways on how to create genetically altered foods, because they
want to produce higher yields, have a longer shelf life, are resistant to disease and pests,
and even taste better. The benefits are a plus for both farmers and consumers. The impacts
of genetically Altered Foods have an impact on everyone including livestock’s, living and
non-living organisms. In connection with the experimentation and invention of Genetically
Altered Foods, there’s a lot of consumers who are curious and interested to know what are
the effects if they use to avail and consume these modern products. There are many articles
stating that these foods are not safe to consume especially for those people who are
immune compromise. Some studies also say that these foods are harmless to human
consumption. Genetically Altered Foods in the Philippines have been controversial with
several people around the world saying they have negative impacts on the environment can
cause “Genetic Pollution” and not good for human consumption, these are also some claims
stating that Genetically Altered Foods has also negative effects on both human and societal
factors.
