VC Learn
• NB: VC Learn is used extensively.
• It is YOUR responsibility to:
• Ensure that your VC Learn account is working properly
• Your VC connect email is set up so that you receive notifications from VC Learn
• Complete Ice tasks by the deadline given- ice tasks are loaded on VC Learn so that even
if you are not in class, you can complete them. Late ice tasks will NOT be marked.

VC Learn tasks- these assist you in the understanding of the class work and should be
completed even if the task has not been specifically set by the your lecturer. (refer
Learn Module Guide for pacer).

ASSIGNMENT
• Covers Learning units 1 to 2. Make a start on the assignment as soon as possible.
Do not leave it to the last minute to submit! Make allowance for possible
issues/things going wrong. Loadshedding is not an acceptable excuse for late

Independent work means:
• No sharing or discussing of answers verbally or electronically
• No sharing of answer booklets electronically or by any other means
• Not asking for or giving help to any students on any of the IIE campuses
• Not asking for help from any persons outside of this Institution, for example
family members, tutors or others
• Not copying the work of any other student, or using answers provided by
other third parties
• No accessing of answers / buying of answers on internet tutor sites

NOTE: This also applies to ICE TASKS set!!!!!


• A Minimum of 4 ice tasks (6 or more will be set) to be completed by the end of the
semester. Note for attendance ice tasks, you will be only be credited with the
attendance task if you have made a reasonable attempt.
• Ice tasks will be loaded on VC Learn and/or completed during a session.
• It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that you complete the ice tasks by the deadlines-
make-up ice tasks will not be given. Refer VC Learn section.
• Ice tasks are assessments and therefore the same rules re copying and plagiarism
apply. Ice accounts for 10% of your mark.
• WARNING: Ice marks can make the difference between passing and failing the
semester. Students have missed CASS in the past because they did not have high
enough ICE marks.
