CHAPTER 5

FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Findings

The following are the findings derived from the interpreted data:

1. Majority of the population of the students answered that their average daily

allowance starts from 41 and above.

2. Majority of the population of the students answered that their general average in

the second quarter of S.Y 2019-2020 starts from 85 and above which is

interpreted as Very Satisfactory.

3. The students agreed that their daily allowance is useful for their school expenses

for it yielded a sub mean of 2.75

4. The students agree that their performance in school is dependent on their

capability to pay for school expenses using their daily allowance for it yielded a

sub-mean of 2.77 or agree.

5. There is low positive relationship between daily allowance and academic performance

with the correlation value of .079. There is also no significant relationship between the

two with a p-value of .286


Conclusions

Based on the findings, the following conclusions have been drawn:

1. The respondents’ range of daily allowance varies however 41% of the population

revealed that it starts from 41 and above.

2. Majority of the respondents have a satisfactory remarks for their grades are ranging

from 80 and above.

3. Daily Allowance plays a significant role in the completion of the students’ school

expenses

4. The students’ in-class performance is significantly influenced by their capability to pay

for their school expenses using their daily allowance.

5. The students’ Average Daily Allowance does not have a significant relationship to their

Second Quarter General Average in S.Y 2019-2020.


Recommendations

Based on the results, interpretations, and conclusions, the following recommendations

were drawn:

1. Students

Students should learn how to manage their daily allowance wisely in order to provide for

their financial demands in school.

2.School Administration

The school may also include financial literacy classes regarding budgeting and saving

among students to help them be aware on how to budget and allocate their allowance

intelligently

3. Parents

Parents should be well informed on the need of their children to spend money on school

expenses. Opening communications on both the parents and their children will not only

provide financial support but moral support as well.

4. Teachers

Teachers should integrate activities that will ease the students’ financial burdens such us

reducing the use of stationeries for school requirements by using technology like e-mail as an

alternative.
