To be a part of the VIU residence life Program Officers team where I can provide a necessary

stable and supportive environment by utilizing my wide range of skills and capabilities, more so

increase feeling at home and overall quality of stay to persons served.

Work/Volunteer Experience

 Nanaimo Seniors Village- worked as a health care assistant for NSV, Nanaimo. A home

of Dementia care. I have a good experience with people of different backgrounds and

cultures with complex mental and physical challenges.

 Vancouver Island University- Work as a Community Leader on residence, guiding and

advising my fellow students and monitoring safety for every student on my floor.

 WUSC-VIU: Active member of VIU local committee for the past three years. Helped

new commers settle in, directing them to the appropriate services in town, help them in

Class enrollment.

 Humanitarian association for unity – Volunteer Interpreter (Oct 2017-May 2019)

Translate English into many different languages (Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Chichewa) for

effective communication between officers and clients. Received clients and directed them
to the correct office. Facilitated community mobilization by assembling community groups

and individuals for capacity building activities and awareness campaigns at Dzaleka

Refugee Camp.
