ORAL PRODUCTION ACTIVITY N°1:

Week 2. Due: Thursday, Jan 28th.
Work in groups of three or in pairs.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Choose a country (tell the professor who the members of the group are and
what country you chose)
2. Prepare a well-organized informative speech about the country you chose
based on the following aspects:
a. Location and name of the country.
b. Nationality and language(s) spoken there.
c. National symbols: the flag, the currency, etc.
d. Landmarks, most popular places to visit, monuments, etc.
e. Famous people (if there is any)
f. Typical food, clothing, music, etc.
g. Any other information you consider important.

3. Create a nice POWER POINT to represent and illustrate the ideas that you
are going to develop when describing the place. Your work must have
tittles and subtitles but REMEMBER that YOU CANNOT write every single
detail because you cannot read all the information. The purpose is to
develop fluency and spontaneity according to the level.

4. Each presentation must last from 5 to 10 minutes.

5. It’s important to express yourselves using STRUCTURES that you are able

to manage properly to present the information to the audience (your
classmates and professor) . DO NOT try to use structures that you do not
know well.
