Society is based on rules and laws.

It could not function if individuals were free

to do whatever they wanted to do. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

For a society to run smoothly, people must abide by rules and laws. When
individuals are at liberty to act as they wish without having to comply with the
regulations, there is a negative effect on the function of society.
In order for a society to work properly and without any riots, it needs
regulations. Society exists wherever there are relationships between human
beings. As the relationships are often assumed to be inherently conflicted, rules
and regulations need to be set to maintain them in society.
