CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Congratulations on your purchase of Deck Armour premium designer boat flooring.
We know you will love the complete experience that our flooring system offers.
Not only does it look good, it performs exceptionally.
To achieve the best performance out of the product, we recommend you read and understand the following
information.

Cleaning
1 For general cleaning
Hose down the Deck Armour with water, then use a medium bristle deck brush and warm soapy water solution.
Work in a forward and back motion to clean the surface. Rinse off soapy residue from the deck with water.

2 For harder stains like fish blood, squid ink and sunscreen lotion etc:
If after trying step 1, you find additional cleaning is required, please do the following. While the Deck Armour
is still wet, spray the affected area with a small amount of spray-on degreaser. Then using your fingers, work
the area in a circular motion until the stain starts to lift. Rinse with water. Repeat if necessary. If it is a larger
area, use a medium bristle deck brush with degreaser. Work
in a forward and back motion to clean the surface. Use water to rinse all residue from the deck.

* Whichever cleaning solution you choose to use, please make sure it is safe for the marine environment.
Please follow the manufacturer’s directions for use of the cleaning products and abide by all manufacturer’s
safety recommendations.

Caution
Do not use on Deck Armour
• Solvents of any kind
• Hull cleaner
• Acetone
• Undiluted Bleach
• Fuels (Petrol/diesel/oil)

While Deck Armour is very forgiving, is not bullet proof. Avoid using a knife directly on the deck.

If your esky or cooler is not smooth underneath, you may consider surface protection.

Deck Armour is for recreational use only.

Pressure Washers
Deck Amour is easily cleaned with low-pressure water. If you decide to use a pressure washer, make sure it is
a household pressure washer. Keep the washer nozzle tip at least 20-30cm from Deck Armour surface.
Do not point the pressure washer directly at the edges of the sheets at any time.

Deck Armour does not recommend the use of any commercial grade pressure washers.
Light Amplification
To put it simply, light amplification is light that has been magnified.

Deck Armour is a UV rated product to handle Australian conditions, however, if light has been reflected to
a focal point where the temperature exceeds 70 degrees, the product will distort or mark. Light amplification
is easy to identify once you know what to look for.

Problem areas to check are under windscreens, certain reflective zones from concave fiberglass, stainless or
bottles of water. If the vessel is moored at a marina fully exposed to the elements, extra care needs to be taken
to ensure that light refraction doesn’t occur. Deck Armour will last longer if protected from the elements by
using a boat cover or keeping your boat undercover in a shed or carport.

Deck Armour will continue to perform to its maximum benefit when boat owners are vigilant in the care
of their floors.

Important questions Parabola shape

creates light amplification
• Where is my boat stored?

• Is it sitting stationary in direct sunlight?

• When I am on holidays, where am I leaving the boat?

• Am I checking for reflections on the floor?

• Do I understand what light amplification is?

If you would like to know more, please contact your local Deck Armour
representative, who will be more than happy to help you care for your product.
