 describe the pictures using at least six sentences correctly.
 Spell at least five nationalities correctly.
Activity
BIL Activity
1. Review previous lesson by showing flag flashcards.
2. Pupils name the countries and the nationalities.
3. Activity 1:
a. Pupils get into pairs and give each pair a worksheet.
b. Pupils try to unscramble the words (nationalities). (Assessment)
c. Then, they match the words to the corresponding flags.
4. Activity 2:
a. Write the question and answer on the board.
Question: Where are you from?
Answer: I’m from ________ . I’m ____________ .
b. Use the vocabulary flashcards to have pupils practise the language structures.
c. Write a few examples on the board if necessary.
5. Activity 3:
a. Distribute worksheet.
b. Pupils look at the pictures and write sentences to answer the questions. (Assessment)
c. Collect pupils’ work so that you can review their progress.
6. Peer medals and future missions: Using the Missions and Medals model, ask pupils to give feedback
on their partner’s on use of the target language.
7. Pupils prepare by making notes in their notebooks. First, they give the ‘medals’ (for example 2
things their partner did well), then set one ‘mission’ (what the partner could improve on in future
lessons).
8. Pairs give their feedback orally to one another.
