INTRODUCTION
Village life reflects the rural lifestyle and
city life shows the urban lifestyle. Life in both rural and urban areas has
its own plus points and problems. One is quite different from each other.
Traditionally, India is a predominantly rural country as Mahatma
Gandhi had said, “The real India lives in villages”. Though India is
mainly a land of villages, there are many cities as well in the country.
Life in these big cities is quite different from life in a village .
In big cities, there are good arrangements
for education. The big college even universities are available. There are
also a very large number of school both government and private in the
big city. These arrangements do not exist in small towns and villages.
`
Urbanisation is taking place at a fast pace; electricity, piped water,
concrete roads, telephone/mobile phone, computers, education and
medical care are accessible facilities in many parts of rural India these
days. Farmers are now using modern agricultural implements, and in
place of oxen, they are ploughing the fields with tractors.

We could observe that boys or girls under age 18 have a strong mind-
set that city is better than village from the direct questions.
But these students still have an affection towards village which can be
observed the Indirect question pie charts. Boys have more affection
towards village than girls in this age.
We can observe that women and men above age 20 have strong
affection towards village than city.

Student’s Reflection
A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step with this motto we
carried our topic for 'A portrait of the lady' which was chosen by our
team leader San. It was a new experience when we took surveys from
various people. We came to know about various people's mindsets
through the survey. There was great team coordination between us,
everyone was very cooperative we had a nice time while doing this
project though it had many ups and downs
