Purpose: To perform cleaning & servicing duties of the villa under the supervision of Butler
Definition
Housekeeping: He/she performs cleaning and servicing duties of the villa, and has a
complete knowledge of the villa's cleaning products, use of cleaning equipment, cleaning
procedures and standards, and to conduct periodic cleaning and maintenance of the villa.
He/she makes sure villa cleanliness and guest service are of the top priority, promoting a
positive image to the guests in terms of guest service, guest greeting, having a friendly,
warm and pleasant attitude, as well as respecting the guest’s privacy and timely addressing
the guests’ needs.
Roles: To report directly to and communicate with Butler on all pertinent matters affecting
villa cleanliness and maintenance.
1. Perform: To perform cleaning and maintenance duties of the villa’s living rooms, guest
rooms, kitchen, storage room, and public areas.
2. Action: To follow the company standards in villa daily operations and uphold the
cleaning procedures.
3. Implement: To effectively and efficiently implement the Standards Operating
Procedures.
4. Maintain: To maintain and improve the current standards of cleaning and service.
Villa Operations
- Perform various duties of cleaning activities: sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing etc.
- Dust and polish villa furniture and fittings correctly using the correct product.
- Dust and clean villa decoration, statues, fish pond, ceilings, sunbed, umbrellas etc.
- Dust and clean metal fixtures and fittings correctly using the correct product.
- Empty and clean the trash containers, making sure all are completely emptied out.
- Dispose the trash in a sanitary manner in the correct places following the recycling rules.
- Clean bathroom, toilet, mirror, showers, wash basins by following the correct
procedures.
- Clean the kitchen area, including refrigerator, kitchen utensils, glassware, cups, plates,
cooking equipment, kitchen counter, oven, etc.
- Clean and mop the public villa areas, including parking space, terraces, villa temple,
swimming pool deck, fish pond, outdoor shower etc.
- Replenish and place the guest amenities, such as tissue paper, toilet paper and towel in
the correct amount and locations.
- Inspect and clean the closet, removing debris and dust, making sure the correct amount
of hangers, blanket or pillows, amenities and towels are placed.
- Clean and wipe down the glass surface; making sure there’s no water stains left.
- Make up beds and change linen as per procedure.
- Sort, fold, and store clean laundry in the proper order in the storage room.
- Iron and press clothing and linen when required.
- Cooperate and communicate with Gardener, Pool man to keep the villa in best condition.
- Regularly check and replenish guest room and bath amenities.
- Store all cleaning equipment, cleaning products and materials properly in a tidy manner.
- Maintain and realign all furniture according to the floor plan.
- Monitor and report any necessary domestic repairs and replacement in the villa to
Butler..
- Complete knowledge of all furniture, fixture, amenities, decoration, and equipment of the
villa, and promptly report any loss or breakage to Butler.
- Join the weekly, monthly villa maintenance and deep cleaning according to procedures.
- Follow the instructions from Butler on all pertinent matters relating to the villa operations.
- Utilize the correct control form to record activities and inventory of the villa.
- Assist Butler in counting, recording and reporting inventory periodically.
- Offer help to other villas when in need, and to coordinate with colleagues and superiors.
Guest Service
- Ensure and respect the privacy of the guests.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, organization of the assigned work areas.
- Maintain a warm and friendly attitude in guests’ presence and readily offer help and
service to the guest, at the same time to keep a respectful distance.
- Ready to help and assist Butler in serving the guests during check-in, guest stay and
check-out with a professional and warm attitude.
- Assist with guest requests by correctly and promptly communicating with Butler.
- Appearance, uniform and hygiene to be in accordance with the company’s standards.
