STUDY PERMIT

I would like to introduce myself, My name is Jatin; a promising professional from Haryana, India.
I was born on 22/01/2001 .To equip myself with skills that may allow me to work in any industry
to support its business project aspects encouraged me to apply for admission to Master of Business
Administration offered by Griffith University Goldcost Australia.Getting the opportunity to
learn theories and practices of business and more in an institute in Australia with exposure to meet
people from all around the world would be an honour. My study and living expenses at Australia
will be born by my family.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:
Academically, I have always been a bright student. I completed my secondary education in 2016
with 7.4 CGPA from M R International School Bilaspur affiliated to Central Board of Secondary
education. And senior secondary education in 2018 in the Non-medical stream with 63 %(as per
top five subjects) from same school. My core subjects were Physics and Chemistry, and English.In
2022 I completed my Bachelor of science (Honour) agriculture 61.41% from Mata Gujri College
Fatehgarh sahib (Punjabi University Patiala).

Business sector is flourishing by leap and bounds and so I also always want to pursue my career in
this. I believe in the fact that theoretical knowledge can open one’s brain to different possibilities
but it is the ability of practical application of the theory which shapes one into a successful
professional. For my higher studies, I started exploring my academic prospects in India as well as
abroad. Finally, I decided to move to Australia to pursue Master of Business Administration from
Griffith University Jan 2023 intake.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:
To fulfill the English language efficiency criteria to study in Canada, I appeared for my PTE
on 01 August 2022 and have scored overall 62 with an individual score of 57 in reading, 64 in
listening, 69 in speaking, and 63 in writing.

REASONS TO CHOOSE MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AT GRIFFITH

UNIVERSITY:
I applied for admission to Griffith University and I will be fortunate that the University provided
me letter of offer to their Master of Business Administration program which will help me to
build a strong foundation to pursue my career as a Business professional. I chose this
University as the university is one of the most renowned in Australia. Griffith University is on
my priority list because it is highly equipped with skills-oriented and career-related programs. It’s
highly experienced faculty will enable me to get the best learning experience, paving way for my
thriving career. Its Master of Business Administration degree provides with the professional
knowledge, skills and designation prerequisites that employers value, so I will be able to launch my
business career with confidence.
 Other important reason to select this course is The curriculum which emphasizes on fundamental
business concepts, knowledge, and skills through an interdisciplinary perspective as MBA at The
Griffith University is a carefully, strategically crafted program of study that incorporates core and
concentration coursework in areas such as Business Analytics, Finance, Financial Risk, Real Estate,
Management Information Systems, Management & Marketing, Supply Chain & Operations
Management.Overall, it will equip me with the required skills to thrive as a business professional
and open the doors of great opportunities in India.

WHY AUSTRALIA OVER OTHER COUNTRIES:

I would say I have considered many countries such as USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Japan before
jumping to the conclusion of studying inAustralia. While USA educational system is considered the
most advanced and it surely does have some top notch colleges under its belt, the dues structure is
way higher than my set budget and quite unrealistic for me. Scholarships are definitely a good way to
reduce the burden but I came to know they are extremely competitive and thus hard to come by.
Canadian programs are internationally acclaimed and accepted universally with leading research and
analytical facilities in universities but I already hold an undergraduate degree and most of the
Canadian education system is diploma oriented rather than degree programs that could make it
difficult for me to pursue a higher education say a doctorate degree if I decide to pursue an academic
career. Also, the harsh climatic condition in most of the areas where temperature sometimes reaches
below zero could make the living conditions complex and unbearable.
Japan also has vast studying opportunities in various fields; however I feel that the linguistic barrier
can keep me refrained from getting a quality education which can result in loss of future work
opportunities.
New Zealand also proposes the same challenges as of Japan linguistically, as Maori language is
widely spoken by native people making it difficult to communicate with common folk. Moreover, it is
at the bottom of the globe geographically which faces a lot of earthquakes annually and being a small
country I will not get the much needed practical exposure in my area of expertise.
Finally, after considering all mentioned factors Australia was my choice for overseas education and
there are number of reasons for that such as quality of education, globally recognized universities, job
opportunities, diversity in culture and society and many more. Australian universities and colleges
promise quality, versatility and valuable knowledge in all the courses offered to domestic and
international students by their trained professionals, perfectly designed curriculum and their focus
towards practical exposure makes it unmatched from the other institutions in the world.
According to QS World Ranking and Times Higher Education Rankings 8 of the top 100 universities
in the world are Australian Universities. Australia holds 3rd position in terms of having number of
international students in the world who are getting globally recognized qualifications through some of
the top notch universities such as Torrens University, Deakin University, University of South

WHY GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY:-
Before choosing a university, I considered various factors into consideration such as Geographic
Location, Academic Quality, Faculty, Campus environment and Ranking of the institution, along with
monetary aspect that is how much investment I have to make. By carefully weighing all of these
factors and after searching a lot of Universities in Australia such as Curtin University, The University
of Sydney, Monash University, Griffith University, James Cook University and many more for my
future study, the process of selecting university came to a conclusion that Griffith University fulfills
all my requirements. I have done valuable assessment about these Universities on
https://www.compared.edu.au/compare/institutions and found Griffith University managed to have a
positive overall experience on 85.1% of its students compared to a national average of approximately
73% across the country and Monash University and The University of Sydney stands at 70.7% and
67.9% respectively. On the basis of facilities and resources again Griffith University stands tall with a
percentage of 91.3 against Monash University and The University of Sydney with 76.4% and 76.0%
respectively. Lastly, this institute outshines others in skill development and teaching practices with an
average of approximately 90.0% whereas Monash University and The University of Sydney performs
at an average of approximately 83.0%and 81.0% respectively.

Hence, looking at above discussed aspects, I personally feel that Griffith University will be a best fit
for me which will help me in making progress in my future. I am desperately looking forward to
studying Masters of Business at Griffith University.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The tuition fee for one year for the Master in Business program is AUD $33500 and the annual living
cost is approximately AUD $22000 with additional OSHC of AUD $ 1440 for the duration of my
studies in Australia as per mentioned in the offer letter provided by the university. My parents
Narender singh and Paramjeet kaur will sponsor me for my education and living expenses in
Australia.
My father Narender singh is a propriter of SHREE BALAJI SEEDS based in Bilaspur, Haryana and
my mother is business woman who owns PARAMJEET BOUTIQUE CENTRE.

FUTURE GOALS & MOTIVATION TO RETURN TO INDIA:

Post completing the said program, I would return to India and seek a decent opportunity with a
reputed company. The growth in the business sector in India is rising and will continue to be
on the rise in the coming years. Thus, I am sure that I will secure a lucrative opportunity upon my
return as major organizations in India give internationally qualified candidates a priority. After this
program, my prospective career opportunities would include applying successful careers in a
variety of industries ranging from educational institutions to corporate, industries and Multinational
corporations as Organisational Consultant, Finance Manager, Project Manager, Management
Consultant, Marketing Manager, Investment Banker, Manager, Manager of Employee Relations,
Technical Recruiter, Director of Staff, Placement Manager, Entrepreneur, and many more with
 firms like Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Reliance industries, etc. After gaining sufficient
experience in a few years, I see myself in a managerial role in a major IT company in India as
well.

I have a strong bonding with my family. So, I have to come back to my home and motherland after
completing my studies to take care of my family and belongings.

ACCOMMODATION:-
Talking about accommodation, I can go for various options like on-campus, in a homestay or in a
shared rental house/apartment with other students or friends. For this, I have searched

newest dedicated student accommodation providers: Iglu, Kelvin Grove Urban Village, Griffith
University Village, Student One, Scape, Urbanest, UniLodge and Uniresort.
MY VISA CONDITIONS:
I have to study full time course with 80% attendance requirements
I must have overseas health cover (OSHC) for the duration of my course
I cannot change course and course provider for 6 months
I must meet “Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE)” criterion
I cannot work more than 40 hours per fortnight when course is in session
I have to pass minimum of 50% of subjects in each term
I wish to abide by all these conditions.
