THIS WEEK’S NOTICES
Sunday School/Childrens' Easter Services: Easter day, April 9 @ 11.15 – Sunday school, on the meaning
of the Resurrection.
Cherry Cup: Congratulations to our team of bell ringers who were last weekend awarded 1st place in the
R.R. Cherry Cup, the annual Southern District ringing competition
Sympathy: We extend our sympathy to
- Philip, Michael, and John Shier, and their family on the death of their mother, Dolly.
- The family of Joan Copley.
- Brendan Mulcahy on the death of his brother in law.
We hold them all in our thoughts and prayers.
Saint Michael's N.S is now closed for the Easter holidays. School will reopen Monday 17th April 2023.
Diocesan Council for Mission Evening: Wednesday 19th April, 2023 beginning at 7.45pm., at the
Woodlands House Hotel, Adare, Limerick: presentation of cheques to regional representatives of Protestant
Aid and de Paul - proceeds of Mission Sunday, 2022, followed, at 8.00pm, by a talk, delivered by Mr Ted
Sherwood, on the Kadjido Water Project, Kenya, which was supported by the Diocese of Tuam, Achonry and
Killala before its union with our own. As well as hearing about a very interesting mission project, this will be an
opportunity to begin a conversation on mission with folk in the north of our now united diocese. Tea, coffee and
biscuits will be available in the room. We hope to make the proceedings accessible by Zoom, link to follow.
Come and Sing: A special event will be held in St Michael’s on 23rd April at 4pm. You are invited to submit
your favourite hymn on the sheet (in Saint Michael’s). The most popular choices will be included in this event to
which all are invited. (Poster attached on ezine and available in churches.)
Car show: This will now take place on Saturday 29th April in the Cathedral grounds (as part of Riverfest). If you
are still interested in helping out with stewarding, etc, please let the Dean know. Your help will be required from
11am-4pm (lunch provided).
