LITTLE SEEDS SURVEY

HISTORY & PURPOSE OF • The Little Seeds Paschim Vihar Centre is an India-based
LITTLE SEEDS non-profit organisation founded in July 2019 with the
goal of improving the lives of children who are
disadvantaged and differently abled in every manner
possible. It is in Mayur Vihar Phase 1. With a staff of
between 10 and 15 volunteers and 5 beneficiaries, it
began operations with the primary goal of giving needy
children access to school.

• These centres create and implement various programmes in


accordance with the demands of the local populace.
Volunteers are also urged to locate the areas where people
require assistance and to assist them in getting in touch with
neighbourhood residents. Little Seeds is currently attempting
to broaden their scope so that they can assist an increasing
number of people in need.
PROGRAMS UNDER LITTLE • Project Education: With the aid of volunteers from many
SEEDS- PAST, PRESENT & specialist professions, this programme focuses on giving
FUTURE youngsters access to free education. During the pandemic, it
was an online centre, but it has since returned to being
offline.
• Project Age Care: This programme, which was started eight
months ago, aims to give seniors who lack resources a place
to live. It focuses on giving them access to services for living,
eating, and healthcare.

CHALLENGES FACED BY • Firstly, it was challenging to convey to the underprivileged


THE LITTLE SEEDS- the value of education since many of them are closed-minded
PREVIOUS & PRESENT and forced by poverty to prioritise their most basic necessities
over ideas like education and healthcare. Some of these
parents start teaching their kids to work at a very young age
because they don't think that education is the key to
overcoming poverty, but many people have shown courage
by doing what other community members don't do, which is
to let their kids learn.

• Because of the COVID, centres had to be moved online, but


this had major implications for people who lacked the means
to learn from home, such as Smart devices.
CHALLENGES FACED BY
STUDENTS – • Prior to joining the NGO, children had communication issues.
COMMUNICATION, • Students lacked moral support and confidence.
CONCEPT AND IN REAL LIFE • They were unable to read and learn effectively.
BASED ON SOCIAL ISSUES • Had issues comprehending the text.
• They lacked appropriate clothing.
• The lack of wholesome meals.
VIEWS ON SOCIAL ISSUES-
ENVIRONMENT, Their views on social issues-

• Youths believe that trees are harmed by pollution and that this
should be controlled since it should be.
• The concept of environment was clear to the students.
• They occasionally feel ignorant in the presence of intelligent
people.
• Many of them believe that food shouldn't be wasted because
of its importance.
• They claim that water contamination needs to be addressed
because it was a problem they had in the past.
CHANGES OCCURRED IN • Notable adjustments in confidence.
STUDENT’S LIFE AFTER • A boost to communication.
LITTLE SEEDS • They've studied English and routinely practise speaking and
writing in it.
• Facilities for children are provided, including food, clothes,
and education.
• It gave them hope for the future and helped them see their
own potential.
• This Charity places a strong emphasis on moral support.
People consider their professors to be their pillars of support
and strength.
• Their ideas and notions are becoming more clear.
KNOWLEDGE ABOUT Even though Little Seeds focuses on education and elder care,
SUBJECTS LIKE HYGIENE, they have raised children's awareness of issues like personal
BALANCED DIET, AND cleanliness, menstruation, and mental health with the
IMPORTANCE OF additional goal of assisting in their overall personal growth.
EDUCATION
• Children are familiar with this terminology and comprehend
their significance. They believe that maintaining our hygiene
requires regular effort. such as getting their nails done,
cleaning their hands before eating, taking regular baths, etc.

• They concluded that a balanced diet is an essential


component of their growth and development. It improves our
health and strength.

Again, education is a crucial component of our personal


growth and development. They recognise its significance
because they are disadvantaged, but they are also grateful for
the chance to learn and develop. They are becoming inspired
and more certain about their future, and they want to help
their parents.
