LESSON 2: TECHNOLOGY: BOON OR BANE?

ANALYSIS
1. What blessings did technology bring?
- Technology can be both a blessing and a curse. We live in a time when there is an
abundance of information. With the constant introduction of new technologies that provide
people with access to more information at a faster rate than ever before, society is reaching a
point where there is simply too much to absorb. Our culture has evolved into a fast-paced
technological society. Where there was once only ink and paper, the world today may not be
able to exist without app-filled phones, a texting-based language, and, most importantly, instant
access to new information.
2. What problems did technology likewise bring?
- The problems that technology also brings are addiction, depression, cyber bullying and global
warming. Technology inherently breeds laziness, as jobs that were once done by people can be
done by machines, and machines make our lives generally easier and require less work.
Machines and factories also contribute to air and water pollution across the planet. When
people really enjoy technology, it is also easy to become addicted to it, which breeds problems
of its own. It also changes and updates so rapidly that something recently bought can quickly
become outdated and ineffective.
3. Is technology good or bad?
-
APPLICATION:
